NEURA Robotics has secured up to $1.4 billion in investment, signalling robust confidence in Europe's advanced robotics sector. This substantial capital injection, reported by Tech.eu report, underscores a growing trend of significant deeptech funding within the European ecosystem, particularly in areas like artificial intelligence and industrial automation.

The commitment to robotics and AI is further demonstrated by ongoing innovation across the continent. Projects funded under Horizon Europe, for instance, are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in industrial applications. For example, the Autonomous Dog Robot project, completed in June 2024, focused on developing four-legged autonomous robots for industrial inspections, monitoring, and surveillance. These robots, equipped with AI, autonomously detect issues like gas leaks and intruders, sending real-time alerts to control centres.

Another critical area is the security of these advanced systems. The RIS project, which began in July 2024, is actively developing a next-generation, AI-powered security platform specifically for industrial robots. This 'Robot Immune System' aims to address thousands of emerging industrial security vulnerabilities by adapting to novel threats through bio-inspired AI directly installed in robotic systems.

Furthermore, the simplification of robot programming is accelerating adoption. The Neurofabrix project is creating a digital solution for robotising manufacturing operations that learns from human demonstrations. This deep-tech initiative aims to become a leading no-code robot programming solution, bridging the gap between cutting-edge technology and industrial applications, and allowing workers to supervise and correct robot outputs immediately.
